Rob's Story
Rob is 42 years of age. This year is the tenth anniversary of his diagnosis. Rob was in his prime when he was first diagnosed. He had a promising career as a real estate agent. Like every Australian he enjoyed his social life and lived for his friends. And then suddenly the party was over.
From the moment he was diagnosed he quickly realised his life was going to change forever. As his health deteriorated he found himself without his job. When he became confined to a wheel chair, it impacted on his very social lifestyle. Rob's battle with MS has seen him struggle with depression, yet he is determined not to give up.
His love of life and people keep him going. He lives independently and still maintains a healthy loving
relationship with a partner – as hard as it can sometimes be. He actively works with people worse off
than himself.
The MS Society has been there for Rob at vital stages throughout his battle, with guidance, counseling, healthcare services and some plain old moral support. This is what 'Giving life back' is all about.
We would like to do more. With your help we can. Together, we can give back life to those who need our help.
