Denise ChipperDenise Chipper is living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and has a remarkable skill in recruiting riders for the Melbourne Summer Cycle, despite not actually riding in the event herself. Her team 'Chippers Champions', first entered the ride last year; back then, the team had one member—her nephew. This year she has recruited 20 riders to ride in her name. |
With just her nephew riding last year, the 'team' raised more than $1,000 for MS Australia in just two weeks. This year, Denise is expecting the figure to increase significantly, 'I keep reminding the team that this event is about raising money for MS Australia.
Although not actually riding, Denise makes sure that she's there at the start and finish lines to support
her 'Champions'.
